Norfolk is a county with a rich and varied horticultural history and there are many wonderful gardens, large and small, to enjoy and learn from. We have a wonderful base just south of Norwich in an historic garden, but we can also teach you in your own garden.
We are based in part of the formal garden and the mill paddock at Bixley Manor, just south of Norwich near Trowse. This was the home of the Colman family of Colman's Mustard fame, and still belongs to the family. The late Sir Timothy Colman was passionate about trees and we are surrounded by his stunning arboretum as well as lovely, mature gardens. We have a classroom in one of the converted outbuildings, with easy access to both the paddock and the formal garden where you will also discover the original Boulton & Paul greenhouse. This is a very special place to be gardening, learning and teaching and we really look forward to sharing it with you.
We can also offer a completely bespoke service. We know that sometimes you need someone to show you how to prune a specific shrub, or how to renovate a particular border. Or maybe you would like to have someone gardening alongside you for a few weeks so you can learn from them and build your confidence. A Gardening Coach could be what you need. You may want a one to one session or to get together with some friends for a small group lesson.
